Backgroud: blurring artifact is an issue in axial cervical MRI using T2 Turbo Spin Echo (TSE) weighted Cartesian. T2W TSE BLADE potential to substitute its shortcomings. This study aims analyze the image quality and artifacts between Cartesian on examination determine better sequence producing quality.Methods: this a quantitative research with descriptive approach. 7 volunteers were scanned for TSE, Blade. Images processed MathlabTM. SNR of intervertebral disc, spinal cord CSF measured ROI. Image resolution find out from pixel spacing DICOM info. Blurring analyzed by comparing signal blurred area background noise. Data statistics.Results: 22,144 17,532 (intervertebral disc), 20,952 16,786 (spinal cord), 16,717 12,883 (CSF) respectively. (mean) 0,391 pixel/mm (T2W Cartesian) 0,625 BLADE). 8,161 6,826 Blade).Conclusion: was superior intensity SNR, while blade technique terms spatial reduction. Thus, it recommended be applied clinical field if or detail priority.
